UNO is a leading metropolitan research university recognized for its commitment to public service, community engagement, and applied scholarship. The conference is hosted by the College of Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS)<\/span>, which houses the School of Public Administration<\/span> along with programs in emergency management, aviation, gerontology, continuing studies, social work, and criminology and criminal justice. The School of Public Administration\u2019s graduate program<\/span> is nationally recognized for excellence in public affairs education, ranked #34 in Best Public Affairs Programs<\/span>, #11 in Local Government Management<\/span>, #12 in Nonprofit Management<\/span>, #6 in Public Finance and Budgeting<\/span>, and #31 in Public Management and Leadership<\/span>.
